Genny was able to get field level seats for the series opener against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. We drove down from Bellingham and got to Safeco Field early enough to watch the Mariners' batting practice. Afterwards, Emma and I got to meet Bucky Jacobsen

We also watched the Devil Rays' practice and got a wonderful field-level view of Safeco Field.

Although our seats were incredible and we were practically on top of the action, most of the action was by the Devil Rays. Their rookie starting pitcher was Kazmir, who pitched a great game. The Mariners got shut out 9 - 0.
