of July in Bellingham

We always have a great time on the Fourth of July in Bellingham, but this year was particularly great. I don't know if it was the weather, the setting, or the music.

We spent the afternoon on the shore of Bellingham Bay, listening and dancing to no fewer than three different bands.

 |
By the time the last band came on stage, everyone was up dancing.
 |
 |
 |
As the clock moved toward 10pm (yes, it really does get dark late in the summer in Bellingham), we were blessed with an absolutely incredible sunset.

  |
And of course, the fireworks were marvelous.
